While the original Greenstreet Gang goes back quite some time, the current version of it was created approximately four years ago. Irish immigrant Sean Donoghue brutally took over the existing Limehouse gang, killing most of its members and replacing them with his own Irish loyalists. In the years since, he has turned the ragtag gang into a force to be reckoned with. Their former territory of just a few streets in Limehouse have been expanded to include almost the whole of the neighborhood.

At Sean's side is his right-hand man, Blair McGee, a reticent young man who's just as mysterious and brutal as his leader. At Sean's behest, Blair and some of their men jumped a member of the Black Powder Gang and killed him, which has set off a series of escalating conflicts between the two gangs. It's obvious that the leader of the Greenstreet Gang wants a war, and with how tensions have increased between the two gangs, he's going to get it.

The Greenstreet Gang makes its headquarters in a converted boarding house in Limehouse, known as the [something]. An attached warehouse serves in part as a gambling parlor, and in part an administrative center for their gambling and trafficking operations. All income and spending goes through Cillian Conroy, an accountant who also came over from Ireland with Sean Donoghue. Though it's an open secret that he's significantly in debt to Sean and the gang, he also is fiercely loyal to both. Because of his efforts, the Greenstreets are extremely well-funded.

There are also plenty of rumors about where they source the weapons they sell, or how they have gained so much power in such little time; many claim that they have connections to the Fenian movement, and the Irish nationalists who have been terrorizing the city over the past few years. For this, the gang has gained the interest of the Special Irish Branch of Scotland Yard.
