Charity Egg Hunt: The Ladies’ Committee of the Charity Organisation Society has arranged for an egg hunt and picnic to be held in the Bethnal Green Gardens on Easter Sunday! Through the generosity of these kind ladies, the destitute of the city will be treated to free meat pies, hot cross buns, and an egg hunt for the young’uns. All are welcome to come, socialize, and enjoy free food and warm drinks!
St. George's Day: Patron saint of England and he of dragon-slaying fame, St. George is celebrated on April 23rd. Churches, Anglican and Catholic, will give sermons regarding the martyr's bravery on Sunday the 22nd, and on the 23rd itself (a Monday), there will be parades, pageants, and Morris dancing!
