Octavia is a free spirited individual who has recently returned to England to find a husband. Her last met a rather unfortunate death, years after her parents perished quite unfortunately as well. Death seems to be her longest-lasting relationship, though it could be easily combated by her acquaintance with trouble. She has a sharp tongue, an even sharper mind and enough stubbornness to put a donkey to shame. The Duke of Bedford’s ward, Octavia is more than enough to scare potential suitors off, or to entice the incredibly foolish into seeing how long they can last.
