Evangeline was always rebellious. Having watched her older siblings push the boundaries, there was very little that Evangeline had to do to get what she wanted, which left the gates wide open to misinterpretation. As her mother tried to wrangle what control she had over her daughters, Evangeline dodged all influence to find herself quickly made an adult in the eyes of men. As one brother became a successful businessman, another a prospective doctor, Evangeline was left to watch her older sister find fortune in the arms of a politician. Well, what was Evangeline meant to do? Before she had time to decide what she wanted from life, as was the luck of being a Findley child, Evangeline set her eyes on a neighbour instead. Like her mother before her, she got married without much thought or planning, and moved with him to London where they set up a grand, gothic household in Highgate. Her husband was a sailor, a man who had been a figure of convenience, and was sent to guide men up the Irrawaddy River during the third Anglo-Burmese War in 1885. By his disappearance, and officially claimed death, Evangeline was forced into mourning… Alas, the transition was not a poor one, for with his inheritance and a house all of her own, Evangeline invested in her own hobbies and passions, which evolved into an almost obsession with the new found arts of photography. Now, in 1883, Evangeline’s younger sister Felicité moved into her Highgate home after her education in Paris, and lived in the house till 1887. The two sisters (along with their younger brother) are the closest of the group, mostly because their youth was left to the wilds, and their twinned creativity leads all else. She is Persuasive, Challenging & Daring… Though she can also be Hasty, Blunt & Troublesome.
