About

Greetings and well met! I have been involved in RP in one way or another for quite a while. I enjoy writing and love the unexpected twists and turns of writing with others. My first RP was in a Star Trek group and I played a counselor. Since then I have played in UO shards as well as PbP groups. I have a couple of 1x1 RP's in other settings, once based on Labyrinth and one that grew out of another game of a ship wrecked lady and a savage man. :) I found TGG recently and loved he look and idea of it all and thus, here I am, hoping to join in the fun of the world you have created.

Appearance

Notable Features

Her looks are striking and beautiful, yet not in a conventional way. If the parts that made up the whole of her face were judged individually one might consider her brow too broad, her eyes too far apart, her nose a tad too large, mouth a bit small, lips too full and chin a bit pointed. Yet, together, they compliment and play off each other sensationally, creating the visage that has been praised as lovely, particularly when she graces you with a true smile, the kind that lights up her stormy gray/lavender eyes. Those very expressive eyes are probably her best feature – if one ever gets to see past the mask of uninterest she wears like armor - they can be cold as ice, sparkle with mirth, darken with desire, shine with happiness, be shadowed in mystery, or dull with pain. Her figure is pleasing being slender, though not overly thin. She has the curves of womanly charm without excess, well proportioned and while taller than many women, at 5’ 6”, she is certainly not a giant. She moves with grace and dignity, usually, but there are times, though not in public, when her playful side comes out and she can have more fun, light on her feet and swift as well.

Personal Style

Wynter likes to be comfortable. She’s not a stickler to current fashion, preferring to wear what she likes and what suits her more than keeping up with the beau monde. This does not not mean she is totally oblivious to current trends, simply that she is not a slave to them. If she likes it, if it suits her, she will consider adding it to her wardrobe, otherwise, she will ignore what is ‘all the rage’. She has never considered herself a follower, nor a trendsetter, she just knows what she likes and her mood often dictates how she adorns herself. No matter what, she is always well turned out.

Relationship Status

Single
Circumstances

Currently

Single and under the guardianship of her uncle, Baron Lynsley, much to her dismay. With a sizable dowry and annual income of her own, not to mention some property, she has the potential to be used in ways she would prefer to avoid, as such, she is looking for an escape, on her own terms rather that her uncle or step-mothers.

Health & Capabilities

Wynter enjoys good health - hale and hearty, is what the farm folk would say. She’s hardly ever truly ill, though the excuse of a headache has been used more than once to escape a social situation, or having to spend time with anyone she did not wish. She is a fast runner, something no proper lady would admit to but a secret accomplishment she holds with a bit of pride. She enjoys the occasional mad dash across the meadow or through the trees when she can manage to get away from prying eyes. While certainly not faint of heart, or frail of body, she is by no means overtly strong, simply stronger than most ladies would care to admit. She’s never been the fainting type, or one who gets the vapors at the sight of a little blood, though she has her limits, she is no wilting flower, nor a mighty oak.

Socioeconomics

Wynter is well funded, though not hugely wealthy, through her annual income, properties and dowry. Not being one to be foolish with money, she has maintained and even grown her personal finances by making some sound business decisions. Of course this has made her a target of those who would exploit her for the benefit of these funds.

Skills & Talents

Gardening is one of her ways to destress and she enjoys growing vegetables as well as flowers. She plays piano and harp well, sings nicely with a full and expressive vocal range, and writes poetry, though she would never show anyone as it is merely a lark for her and nothing serious. She has learned how to cook and bake, shocking as it is, and even how to sew and mend. Her reasoning being, how can she possibly judge the quality of food or tailoring if she knows not how to do it herself? An excellent horsewoman, even side saddle, though she prefers to ride astride. She is handy with a bow and has been known to climb a tree upon occasion.

Present Relationships

Mary Foster - her ladies maid is her only friend and confidant.

The rest are her 'family' but she is not close to any of them.

Egbert Thorington - uncle, new Baron Lynsley

Viola Thorington - step-mother, dowager Baroness Lynsley

Portia Thorington - half-sister,

Habits & Routines

Tends to be a night owl, though can rise early without being too grumpy, usually. Usually tends to her correspondence right after breakfast, then takes Argus, her wolfhound, for a walk, tends to Luna, her white thoroughbred, and goes for a ride and see to the needs of her black cat and Isis. She will look over her accounts, see to any household needs, fend off her family and generally try to stave off any attempt by anyone to get their hands on her assets. She does not socialize much, mostly due to the death of her father, which has delayed her debut at court. She very much enjoys collecting and making miniatures for her dollhouse that her mother gifted her and they used to work on together so she will often lose hours of time in that pursuit.

Background

History

Wynter was born to Alfred and Marion Thorington, the Baron and Baroness of Lynsley after four years of unsuccessful attempts for an heir. Of course her father would conclude that even her birth was not a success as it gave him a daughter instead of the longed for son to take over the entailed title. Marion was thrilled, however, as not only did it prove they could have a child, it meant they should be able to have another, and perhaps that one would be the desired male her husband wanted so desperately. For the first five years of her life, things were tolerable. Although her father was still anxious for his son, and while Wynter could sense the frustration in her parents marriage, she did feel her mother’s love for her and her father was, well, at least present. Unfortunately during her last pregnancy, things went sideways and Marion lost her life trying to produce the required heir. The baby, which was a boy, did not long survive the mother. It was certainly dark days and the Baron withdrew from everyone, except Viola Fischer. It was no surprise, therefore, when as soon as the mourning period was over, Viola became the new Baroness Lynsley. Now at the tender age of six, Wynter was faced with the fact that her new step-mother had little desire to tend to another woman’s child and her father hardly even acknowledged her existence. She spent more time with her governess and tutors than anyone. Soon the newly weds produced a child, a girl, only this time her father seemed to be rather happy about it, which was confusing for her as he had never been as attentive to her as he was to his new daughter. Two years later, the Baron finally had his son and all was well with his world. Wynter became a mere afterthought, at most. They would often go on family outings, without her, with some excuse or another of, there was not enough room in the carriage, or, they did not think she would enjoy the outing, or she was too old for the things the children wanted to do. And so it went, feeling more and more a stranger in her own home. She stopped trying to be part of the ‘family’ that clearly had no want of her. No one balked when, at 15, she decided to move to the east wing of the manor as it had not been in much use over the years and, in fact, had become somewhat worn down. Using her own funds she made necessary repairs to make the wing livable, paid for her own staff and provided for herself. And so life went, she stayed in her wing, they in theirs and they hardly ever met, save for the needed occasions or by accident when crossing paths in other parts of the manor. Things began to change, for the worse, two years ago, when the heir, the much cherished son, died at the age of 7. This threw the manor into mourning which resulted in the death of the Baron, seemingly from despair, within a year of the loss of his son. In short order Egbert was now the new Baron of Lynsley, much to his delight. Viola wasted no time ingratiating herself to him. Between the two, they have nearly bankrupted the Baronetcy and are in dire straits, relying on what little she willingly provides to aid them but eyeing her assets more and more, particularly when Egbert’s gambling debts began to rack up placing them in an even worse financial state. They have begun to hound her for more funds, which she is unwilling to provide seeing as they have squandered their own money and have lets the baronetcy fall to near ruin. Unfortunately she is still under her Uncle’s ‘guardianship’, which he is beginning to realize he can use to his advantage in arranging a marriage for her, one she is certain will do nothing for her and everything for him.

She needs to find a way out of this mess before he kills her as she suspects he did her half-brother and then her father. But how will she manage before Egbert makes some disastrous match for her?
Plotting

Romance

While Wynter does not think romance and love truly exist, it would be lovely to prove her wrong. Particularly in an interesting manner.

Friends

Friends would be fabulous, especially with the idea she has to create a sort of underground network of women to help other women in precarious situations.

Antagonism

Not at this time, thank you.

Other Plot Requests

Not at this time.
Kinks
It's complicated. Open to discussion but have a short list below.

- light bondage
- spanking (not beatings mind you, not a masochist)
- sub to respectful Dom (Not into being treated poorly)
Misc.
