Players are welcome to create titled characters without special permission. The title must not be in use by another character or canon, and certain higher ranks require purchasing with points.

Claiming a Title

UK Knighthoods, Baronies, Viscounties, as well as non-royalty foreign titles are FREE. Upper titles (Earl, Marquess, Duke) may be bought in the site shop. Extinct titles may be used.

Please note that while you may purchase foreign royalty titles, they may not be the current rulers or direct heir. For example, foreign princes are okay as long as they are not set to inherit the throne — So, second-born and younger.

A title is "claimed" when you submit your application with the relevant information. You may claim an association to an upper title you do not yet own if your character is the title's heir. You still have to purchase the associated upper title in order to "inherit," but given that we allow use of extinct titles (and that means there are many), we're not going to limit who can claim a title for future use in a planned arc.
