Where do I post?

We've tried to keep our number of forums relatively limited to avoid confusion and anxiety.

All threads should be started in the subforum where they physically begin, with the exception of letters, correspondence, and diaries that are not part of an action thread, which should go in Personal Writing. You may add a typed prefix to the front of your thread to indicate whether threads are not present-day if you like.

What tenses and point of views are allowed?

All of our writing should be done in third person, past tense.

Should I bold my character's dialogue?

This is a personal choice, although we recommend you do simply for ease of review, as we don't all reply to a post immediately after first reading it.

If you choose to bold your character's dialogue, please either A) Use the generic bold tag without changing the color, or B) Check your chosen color against BOTH the Light and Dark versions of the site theme. For instance, if you choose a cream color, it will show up on the Dark theme, but will be impossible to read on the Light one.

Also please ALWAYS BOLD if you change your dialogue color. This helps with ease of reading/eye strain.

Do I need to archive my thread once it's finished?

No. We don't archive threads here, as we prefer to keep all threads organized by location. Forums have multiple sorting options, and tags may be used for this as well.

When and how do I warn for content?

TGG is a 333-rated game, as well as only accepting members who are 21+. 333 means "Swearing and mature language is permitted, sexual content may be described in detail, and explicit violence is permitted." We try to be very up-front about this, and presume that if you are here, you understand there may be a level of "mature" writing as a baseline.

You do not need to warn for swearing, or any sex or violence that is non-explicit — ie, if it's not describing body parts, you are fine.

Warning for Sexual Content

If your thread contains explicit sexual content, please attach the "Adult" topic prefix to your first post. If you are making/editing the post, it's right above the "Subject" field.

Warning for Triggers

Please use a "TW" tag for anything that might reasonably be a trigger. You may also include an OOC note at the start of your post specifying what you are warning for.
Are you at least 21-years-old?
You must be at least 21 to use our site.
